At Insight Geologic.....

our mission is to provide a broad range of environmental, geologic and groundwater services to our public and private sector clients. Founded in 2003 in Olympia, Washington, Insight Geologic, Inc. has successfully completed numerous projects supporting our client’s need for due diligence, environmental assessment, monitoring, environmental cleanup, geotechnical and groundwater services.

Our guiding principal at Insight Geologic is to utilize our vast resource of knowledge and multi-disciplinary experience to fully evaluate the geo-environmental conditions that a property presents, and develop a strategy for the thoughtful development of the project.  It is often worthwhile to conduct geologic and hydrogeologic investigations prior to development of the preliminary plat layout in order to determine areas having suitable soils for development as well as stormwater disposal.

If negative environmental conditions are found, we bring our expertise to bear on developing an investigation strategy to evaluate the problem and derive an effective cleanup strategy to achieve appropriate cleanup goals.  Our cross-trained staff can conduct environmental, as well as geotechnical and stormwater investigations concurrently, if needed.  This ability allows us to rapidly assess a property and reduces mobilization costs for equipment.

Insight Geologic, Inc. provides our clients with knowledge and answers to a wide variety of environmental, geotechnical and groundwater issues and utilizes our skill along with state-of-the-art technology to resolve them within the parameters of federal and local regulations. William E Halbert

Principal

& Engineering Geologist

Mr. Halbert has over 25 years of environmental, geological and hydro-geologic experience with the past 18 years in Washington State.  His multi-disciplinary expertise includes developing and implementing geologic, hydrogeologic and environmental investigations, directing field staff in data collection, evaluating the collected data and conducting final reviews of reports. Mr. Halbert has a B.A. in Geology from the University of Santa Barbara and a M.S. in Geology from California State University of Los Angeles.

Kevin Vandehey

Geologist

Licensed Driller in

Mr. Vandehey has over 14 years of professional experience with a variety of environmental projects including; Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), UST removal & remediation, and performing asbestos and lead surveys. He is experienced in field assessment and characterization of soil and groundwater quality, environmental sampling, regulatory compliance reviews, quality control and assurance of laboratory data, preparation of technical documents, and project management and coordination.  Mr. Vandehey attended the University of Puget Sound, Olympia and received his Bachelors of Science in Geology.
